Fitting a quick shift gear stick to your car is a quick and easy modification that; doing so really improves the feel and speed of gear changes due to the shorter and more direct throw. Up until now the only complete quick shifts on the market have all contained steel spherical bearings. Whilst these are perfect for competition use at certain RPMs the steel bearings will start to vibrate and rattle which can be painful on long journeys.
To solve this vibration problem whilst retaining the positive and direct gear change, a complete redesign of the quick shift was needed to replace the steel bearings with a high vibration dampening nylon spherical bearing.
This quick shift should be used in conjunction with an original Ford type plastic gear selector saddle rather than the competition phosphor bronze type.
