Burton Power is pleased to announce it can now supply the Pipercross 100mm Inlet Carbon Fibre Air Box which delivers cold air directly to multi-carburettor or multi-throttle body intakes.Various backplates are available separately to suit particular set ups.

The intake can be used as an open-air feed or in conjunction with a Pipercross PX600 filter, element (part number C6000). This type of airbox can also be connected to an external filter such as the Pipercross Viper Induction system, via additional connections. Additional pipework is also available to draw cool air from outside the car, close to the ground where the air is most dense.

The 4K carbon fibre construction provides excellent heat and noise insulation to maintain a cool charge and help meet trackday noise regulations.

For Escort RS2000 and any Mk1/Mk2 Escort using an SOHC Pinto Engine

Burton has come to the rescue by making the task of fitting a Pinto SOHC engine into a Mk1 or Mk2 Escort easier by creating a reproduction of the Escort RS2000 Mk1/2 aluminium sump. The Burton sump provides suitable clearance around the crossmember and steering rack. Iit also incorporates amendments to the sump baffle so that more protection from oil surge is provided than the original version. The modified baffles will also fit original sumps with bolt in baffles and are available separately. NB: This sump must be used with an RS2000 pickup pipe (Burton part number FT651).

Mini Spares has commissioned the manufacture of a new brake master cylinder with a 0.75” bore and a period-correct flat top outlet rather than the current pointed type.

The brake fluid pipe goes directly into the flat top rather than to the original troublesome union (which is no longer available).

The larger bore is also ideal for cars with 4 pot brake calipers or other performance modifications which demand more fluid and pressure.

The new 0.75” bore master cylinder can be ordered as part number GMC153 at £150.76 inc VAT.

Also fits Austin A40 Farina Mk2.
